‘The Five’ Explodes When Donna B. Claims There’s ‘No First Amd. Right To Lie’

“The Five” panel unleashed on Fox News contributor Donna Brazile over her take on the First Amendment right.
Brazile left the panel speechless and shocked after she said “there’s no First Amendment right to lie” during a heated discussion on the battle between Trump and Twitter.
“This whole fact-checking thing is designed as a way to tackle misinformation which would be good if there was a balance,” Greg Gutfeld noted in the discussion.
“But we do know from research that the news media is about 90 percent liberal, so the right generally is over-policed daily compared to the left,” he added.
“Free speech is something that Americans cherish, American companies should cherish and there was no need for Twitter to get involved yesterday,” co-host Dana Perino, who interviewed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, noted.
“Why fact-check that particular tweet? There are hundreds of tweets that you could choose,” she added.
“The whole thing is so cooked up,” Watters then continued. He also suggested they could even end up “helping the president” by exposing the bias and manipulation.
“I get so sick and tired of hearing all of the whining,” Brazile reacted. “All of this whining. Jesus Christ, Jesse, I wish I could send you some tissue but I have to be six feet from you so therefore I would have to throw it at you.”
Then, after a back and forth talking over each other, Brazile has had enough. She grabbed the floor and insisted that Trump’s tweets “should be deleted.”
“I think that the social media platform companies should regulate themselves” she said. “The lies need to stop. There is no First Amendment right to lie. Period.”
The Five were left speechless after this.
“You can’t lie?” asked a shocked Greg Gutfeld.
“Actually you can,” said Dana Perino, to which a laughing Gutfeld agreed.
“There’s a right,” Perino said.
“There’s no First Amendment right to lie,” Brazile pushed back. “There is no First Amendment right to lie. There’s no First Amendment right to lie. You just go ahead and lie.”
“I can say I’m 6 feet tall. Are you going to have me arrested?” asked co-host Greg Gutfeld.
“No,” said Brazile.
“What would happen to politicians, Donna? If you couldn’t lie, you’d have no politics,” Gutfeld said.
Then the segment, but you can see that Brazile was not budging at all. She stood her ground, ignoring all arguments.
